Why do some feel the need to defend themselves when I speak against the sins of politically obsessed Christians by saying they are not obsessed with politics? If political obsession and idolatry doesn't apply to them, why would they not simply agree it is wrong instead of getting defensive? Could it be the Shakespearean words, 'Surely thou doest protest too much' apply?
